Egg white + wholemeal bread diet

Tray of eggs

OK, I'm putting myself on a "egg white & wholemeal bread" diet for the next 2 weeks and see if it works. I've been gaining weight recently, and although I suspect part of it is due to my muscle gain (doing push-ups and pull ups for the last month thereabout), it's also due to the amount of junk food I've been consuming recently.

Apparantly a high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet is good for weight loss without muscle loss. My first meal on this diet today didn't go too well - didn't feel full after 3 egg whites and 2 slices of wholemeal bread. Maybe I'll increase it to 4 egg whites instead.

The power of Jesus' blood

Receiving prayers from the anointed man of God

The annual 5th International G12 Conference in Singapore has just concluded last Saturday. Thank God, I've got the privilege to attend the past ones as well as this one, and to say the least, this is one of the best G12 conference yet. Contents-wise it's very similar to what was preached for the last past conferences, but the Holy Spirit never fails to teach me new lessons every year.

I was reminded of the power of Jesus' blood and the Cross at this year's conference. Whatever we do--the G12 vision, strategies, programmes and what-nots--hinges on the immutable fact that God loves us so much that he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. Sounds so much like John 3:16 yah? It is, and this verse carries on to say that He died for me so that I might have eternal life!

What is our--my--response then? Share His love to the people around us! The G12 vision (a powerful one for that matter) is but a means to a greater end, and it is important that we--I--do not lose sight of the greater goal of what this vision is trying to achieve! God's vision is to see his creation redeemed, and He has chosen us--me--to fulfill it!

Sebestian's birthday

Final group photo

Got woken up by Carson on the handphone while I was having my afternoon nap to celebrate Sebestian's birthday--at Tiong Bahru! Didn't want to go initially, but they didn't had an adult with them, so I thought I better be around to make sure that things don't get out of hand. Moreover, it's a good chance to make the two brothers feel the family presence, so I awoke quickly and rushed down to Tiong Bahru.

We celebrated Sebestian's birthday, cut and ate the cake, prayed for him, and had a little bit of ice and cake fight. After that, went to play basketball with them. Today really brought the kid out of me again.

Having time on hand really is an advantage when it comes to ministry. Because schooling teens have a different schedule compared to young working adults (when they are free, we are not, and vice versa--especially when they have parental restrictions), so sometimes it's difficult to participate in their activities unless there is a very deliberate effort made to align the schedule. Then again, not every schedule can be aligned perfectly. Ah, I pray that I can find a job that can minimise impact on the existing ministry work!
